Well, it is that time again! Fall is creeping up on us and school will be back in session! Something else that is happening soon is your birthday party! What birthday party theme or birthday party idea are you going to choose for your little guy?
I stumbled across a website the other day that had some really cool ideas for a birthday party theme for your little gamer! It was a Mario themed birthday party. I will leave the link at the bottom of this post for you to check it out! What this inventive mom did was this: she took all the necessities of a great birthday party and “Mario-ified” them. Sounds simple, right?
Simple, but ingenious.
For her invitations, she made the Mario blocks and put gold coins in them. For the favors, she made Mario hats. For the games, she made balloon “ghosts” from the actual game. Birthday Party Invitations–Part 2

Your son’s birthday or your daughter’s Big day…whatever the occasion, you want it to be special and professional! We do to. Make sure that you have the best in decor. To book, call 717.813.4071.

You now know the proper etiquette on when you should send out your birthday party invitations, but….What do you need to include in them? Do you want the guests to bring gifts? Is it going to be a casual and fun event or a bit more formal? Below is a list of the basic that you want to include in the card. Of course, if you include more information than this…that is okay, too!

The purpose of your invitation
The name of the honoree–You cannot forget who the special person is!
The day and date of the party
The time of the party
The Name and location of the party
The name of your host
The type of attire–usually this is not necessary and the style of the card will give your guests a hint as to the type of party it will be.
Finally, if you do not want your guests to bring gifts, mention it discreetly. Possibly say “The best gift you can bring is yourself!”

You want to proof-read it several times before writing out the actual invitations or on the computre before you print them. You want it to be PERFECT.

Always, Always, Always spell out dates and numbers. Do not use abbreviations. There is no punctuation used at the end of the line and the “o” in o’clock is not capitalized, either. Birthday party invitations–Part 1

Food and entertainment: these are the two most expensive parts of your party. If you start planning early, you can ensure that you can afford the best! To book, call 717.813.4071.

The theme is picked and the date is set. What is the next part of your little angel’s party? Sending out the invitations, of course! To do this though, you need to make sure that you have everything that you need for your invitations. I am going to be doing a two-part blog on invitations. What to put in them, when to send them out, and even how to make fun and cost efficient invitations!

The first thing to know is when to send the invitations out. Think about it. If you send the invitations too early, then your guests might forget. Send your invitations out too late and your guests might already have plans. Typically, the best time to send out invitations for your birthday party is about 3 weeks ahead of time. A little tip to ensure that your guests do not forget is to send them a reminder card one week before your party. Tomorrow, we will discuss what to include in the invitations.

Earth-Friendly Balloons Supporting Earth-friendly Businesses

What is special about April 22? Earth Day! That is why at Trist ‘N Shout we are supporting businesses and families that make an effort to preserve and protect our planet.
Who has gone green recently? Starbucks. Last Thursday they gave away free fresh brewed coffee to anyone that brought their own mug into Starbucks(if you bring in your mug on a regular day, save 10 cents on your purchase!). It not only helped to prevent waste, but they served you free fresh coffee, too! Way to go, Starbucks!

We had the priviledge and the pleasure of helping decorate our local Starbucks in Wyomissing, PA this previous Thursday, too! While enjoying our great coffee in environmentally friendly mugs, we built a 3-4 foot tall tree! The great thing about balloons is that they are environmentally friendly, too! They are made from a sap in trees(similar to maple syrup) and decompose at the rate of a maple leaf, too! The best part is that they do not disturb the natural habitat and are a renewable resource! About two bags of balloons support one tree. If you have seen our work, you know that sometimes we can use just that in a single piece! Again, I would to say a big “Thank you!” to Starbucks for promoting the protection of our planet. Also, I mentioned a balloon tree that was rather large. In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, here is our earth-friendly tree supporting earth-friendly Starbucks! How are you celebrating Earth Day?

Ahh! Now…I think that I will go to Starbucks for my coffee today.

It is soon that time of year. It is getting nice outside and the Seniors of 2010 are having a hard time focusing on their schoolwork. WHY? Graduation is coming up!!! They are ending one section of their life and starting on a new journey. College, work, and anything else that they can dream of. It will be one of the biggest days of their life! That is why we wanted to take a post to focus just on them. They worked hard and deserve this special day! How can you make it even more significant? Add balloons! What kind? Any that you can dream. Harley

Mason, Ohio was the site of the 2nd Annual Balloon Decor Convention…”Float”. Taking classes from International Instructors and doing hands-on work with the World’s Best Decor Designers is a perk that is well-worth the time and lack of sleep that you must endure to pack the most into the convention. Tristen won 2nd place in the Freestyle Competition with a 3 foot version of a motorcycle. She was also part of a large sculpture that incorporated many types of twisting into their design. Who wouldn’t love a job like this? Don’t you wish your job was as much fun as our? Stay tuned for the phenomenal decor that we created for a Banquet.

Betallic Award

What do you get with a bunch of betallic balloons, 18 hours and a Harley Davidson store? A Cross Bones Motorcycle sculpted out of balloons that one 2nd place in the international contest! Contests are a time to challenge, stretch and try something new and with a little bit of planning it is so rewarding to see the end results. While motorcycles have been sculpted out of balloons, we have not seen any that had the amount of detail in that we wanted to try…. so here we go. This was our third entry in this contest which is ran 2 times a year. The 1st entry is now featured in the betallic gallery and the 2nd entry is being used in brochures. It is an honor to be featured and a special honor to be an award winner. Betallic balloons are definitely our balloons of choice for the majority of our inventory. We love that both Qualatex and Betallic are American made balloons and that we are able to support our fellow countrymen by buying their products. Keeping our friends and neighbors employed benefits all of us. We hope that you enjoy these pictures. Now…… what should we attempt for the next contest? We especially need suggestions for a large sculpture idea.
