Tropical rainforests are the lungs of our planet and a critical factor in its health. The Amazon Basin alone stores 400 million metric tons of CO2 per year – about 25% of all carbon stored on land, and it produces 20% of the world’s oxygen.
Nearly 4,500 acres of rainforests are lost every hour from illegal logging, mining, agriculture, forest fires, and oil drilling, resulting in a lot more carbon in the atmosphere – and a lot less oxygen. Rainforest Partnership works directly with rainforest communities to sustainably develop products found in the forest, giving the community a stake in keeping their trees intact.

Balloons are the bi-product of rubber trees which are helping to combat climate change by providing oxygen to our planet. We love that the impact of balloons is a biodegradeable eco-footprint that is so small compared to the impact they provide. The refuse does not even fill one trash bag from an installation. Balloons By Tommy shared an image that shows the impact and the amount of biodegradeable refuse after the event. per Tommy “one bar minute of service made more trash than the whole balloon installation at this event.” What else makes such a large impact and has such a small eco-footprint?
