You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child!

Read America, What better way to celebrate Dr Seuss’s birthday than reaading to a child? March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, read to your child with Read Across America.
Dr Seuss’s love of children and magical rhymes make his books a wonderful tool to teach young children the skills they need to be successful. When we celebrate Dr. Seuss and reading, we send a clear message to America’s children that reading is fun and important.
Dr Seuss passed away in 1991 and since then his birthday has been adopted by READ ACROSS AMERICA. He published 46 children’s books in his lifetime. His most celebrated books are Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hatches the Egg,Horton Hears a Who!, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
One of my favorite Dr. Seuss stories is “O The Places You Will Go”. Reading is a valuable part of your children’s education, so take the time to read with them and let them see you reading so that know that reading is important.
